To achieve the objectives of the Society, information technologies related activities such as seminars, workshops, courses, training, study tour, computer camps, talks, briefings and exhibitions were organised. These activities were organised either by the Society alone or in collaboration with other organisations, agencies or government departments. Participation was opened to members of the public and the Society’s. Social activities such as sports, outing, gatherings and fellowship as well as visits to selected charity institutions were also organised.
With the increasing importance of ICT in achieving the nation's development plans by year 2020, the Society realised the responsibilities and the tasks that need to be performed as part of the Society’s contributions to these development plans. As such, the Society has accepted an appointment from the State Information Technology Council to have its President sitting as a member of the council. The Society has also accepted appointment to lead some of the task forces and sub-committees within the Council.
