On 12th August 2009, Sunway City Bhd held a Kick-Off Meeting to officially announce the project initiation for IFCA.Net. The event held at the Penthouse Level of Menara Sunway headquarters, heralds the dawn of a new initiative that will embrace the best-of-breed technologies available in the market today.

The event was witnessed by more than 60 excited personnel from the senior management to key users of the system. Senior Management from SunCity who attended the event included their MD – Mr Ngian Siew Siong, CFO – Ms Tan Poh Chan, CIO – Mr Gerard Yuen etc. IFCA was represented by its COO – Mr Ian Jones and members of the project team.

Having established itself firmly in Malaysia, SunCity will spread its wings throughout Asia and has been seeking a suitable IT partner with the global reach but local intimate knowledge to help streamline its business processes into a single application – the key emphasis being the consolidation of multitude databases and availability of business information, in real-time, all-the-time.

THE SOLUTION

PROJECT OBJECTIVES
On successful implementation, IFCA.Net will impart SunCity via
•Empowering SunCity with a web-based, fully Integrated Real Estate Solution for operations locally and globally.
•Centralization of knowledge, information and documents within a single platform
•Provides real-time availability and accessibility to application and database with a simple internet connection
•Deliver an integrated solution that consolidates and removes the inefficiencies of the current disparate systems to allow a seamless flow of information
•Deliver a technology framework to allow Sunway City Berhad to continuously improve its business processes
•Enhance Enterprise-wide Collaboration with the ability to extend collaboration to non-employees, i.e. customers, contractors, architects and solicitors.

PROJECT EXECUTION
The entire project will be implemented in phases beginning with India, and then followed simultaneously by China and Malaysia. The project will have strong sponsorship from the SunCity’s senior management personnel and will follow clear and robust methodologies defined by IFCA’s own MethodP and CMMI Level 3 Certification methodologies – with distinct milestones including additional business requirements phasing, solutions blueprint design, build, integration testing and UAT.
